Program Notes

Heist is a work that came to me rst as the three note motif heard in the rst few seconds. This motif then tranforms into the faster more hasty and mysterious sections that follow . While writing this work, I imagined a true heist, as if someone was being followed and was on the run. The quieter moments such as in the beginning or middle section truly have to feel like an evil silence. I had a ton of fun writing this and working with the musicians on perfecting this composition. I hope you enjoyed performing as well!
